Our Basic Hunting Retriever program is a five to six month intensive program that covers all the basics a retriever needs for waterfowl hunting.Your dog is started on obedience,then introduced to the trained retrieve,gunfire,water,light cover,decoys,duck calls,duck blinds,dead birds,live birds,and duck boats.
Continuing your dogs education; during this program your dog will be trained in multiple retrieves,blind retrieves,moderate and heavy cover,multiple water retrieves,and then placed in an actual hunting situation to evaluate the dogs progress before being returned to the owner.Training time is four to six months.
Throughout your dogs training you are invited to participate as much as possible so that you can observe and take in the proper commands,hand signals,and whistle control.
Both programs were designed for hunters by hunters,who want a steady hunting companion that is an asset to the hunt and a great family pet at home.Each dog is treated as an individual and particular care is taken to bring out their natural abilities.
